3. What does my investment include?
The investment to open and operate a The Spy Place franchise includes complete training in The Spy Place consulting, sales and retailing process. As a franchisee, you will be provided with the latest franchise support technology; including a reliable infrastructure and a comprehensive marketing strategy.
4. What type of background do I need to run a successful The Spy Place franchise?
A successful Spy Place franchisee can be anyone from a multitude of backgrounds. The Spy Place will provide you with the proper training and education on the latest security and surveillance products and practices. If you aren't handy with tools, don't worry. Our complete training program will teach you the skills you will need to properly estimate, install and service essentially every type of security system you'll encounter. We do ask, however, that you are dedicated to customer service and that you find satisfaction in performing significant manual labor tasks, if you intend to be a full-time, owner-operator.
5. What level of commitment do I need to dedicate to my The Spy Place franchise?
The Spy Place offers a very high level of flexibility and autonomy that will allow you to manage your franchise in a way that works best for you. That includes working independently or hiring support staff and/or additional sales persons / laborers.
6. Does The Spy Place offer protected territories?
Yes, your awarded territory is yours to exclusively market your business.
7. What equipment and supplies do I need to start a The Spy Place franchise?
As a new Franchisee, it is required that you possess an approved vehicle for exclusive use with your The Spy Place business. Therefore, it will likely be necessary to purchase or lease a proper vehicle. Additionally, it is required that each Franchisee purchase initial tools and materials adequate to begin operations in their Territory.
8. What do I do as a Franchisee?
When you purchase a The Spy Place standard franchise, you will open The Spy Place store where you will provide retail sales of James Bond-like spy gadgets to the customer who wants to have a nanny-cam or pen recorders, or any number of "gadgets", all the while providing commercial and residential installation of high-tech video surveillance, access and lighting control, GPS Vehicle Tracking, computer monitoring systems and more.
9. What services do I have to provide?
The only services you must provide are a retail store and the security and surveillance installation.
But the other exciting difference about The Spy Place is that we offer you the opportunity to pilot your own course. Unlike the typical, lock-step mentality of most franchise systems, The Spy Place recognizes the unique talents and interests of our franchisees. This means that you, the franchisee, gets to choose what other business models within the security and surveillance industry you wish to offer your clients.
10. What does The Spy Place do for me?
The Spy Place provides you with support from the moment you sign a franchise agreement. You will receive two weeks of training at our state of the art training facility in Fort Wayne, Indiana where you will receive our Confidential Operations Manual, and training on running your business, marketing to your customers. You will receive assistance with site selection criteria and selection, design and décor specifications, and guidance on constructing your store. You will have a member of The Spy Place training team in your store for the two weeks before and after your Grand Opening to assist you in training your employees and getting your business up and running.
After your store has opened you will have a contact at Headquarters who will be able to answer your questions and assist you in running the store. In addition, we will develop marketing materials and regional and national marketing to promote The Spy Place businesses, as well as continuing research and development, and negotiations for preferred pricing to you from our approved vendors.
In summary, you will receive from us the same level of customer support we require you to provide to your customers.
